It’s time to forgive yourself and start a fresh. Let’s work together to find out who YOU are and what results you want from Therapy. Real therapy isn’t easy, but it works!
Let’s get started!
Our online therapy is focused treating conditions from depression & anxiety, to bipolar disorder, anti-social personality disorder and other dissociative disorders, and it starts with accepting yourself.
We’re all a product of our environment and the more we learn about our reasons for being who we are the more we can begin to forgive and accept ourselves.
At Evidence Based Therapy we use techniques grounded in evidence to work towards results that are defined by YOU. Our mission is to change the perception of therapy and challenge people to acknowledge their own unconscious assumptions about how they see themselves and how they see therapy itself!
You might be thinking “There’s no point in therapy, no one can help me change the things that make my life hard” or even that “my problems aren’t real problems. Other people have it so much worse.”
If you’re thinking any of this then I’d encourage you to ask you to ask the question, “Have I done everything I can to try and make myself feel better?” And if not, “whats stopping me?”… We all have unconscious biases, it’s part of being human, but at Evidence Based Therapy we aim to explore how much of how you see yourself and the world is REAL, through challenging your perceptions. But don’t just take our word for it, book a free One Hour Initial Consultation and decide for yourself.
We’re a brand new company and our rates reflect that, our first consultation is free while you decide if we’re the right fit for you and to determine what we can do for you.
Sessions are done via video call, they cost £25 per hour and provide Psychotherapy based on techniques across a range of Evidence Based treatments. We recommend having sessions either weekly or fortnightly for those that decide therapy is right for them.
Therapy can vary a lot depending on the needs of the client but one thing that is consistent is providing a supportive and understanding relationship that aims to help you better understand yourself in order to reach your therapeutic goals.
Real therapy can be challenging and encourage us to explore areas of our lives that are uncomfortable talk about, and while we ask you to be open to discussion, you are in the driving seat – we’re just along for the ride. Specifically, we draw from 4 areas of therapy in our sessions
Our mission is to change the perception of therapy and challenge people to acknowledge their own unconscious assumptions about how they see themselves and how they see therapy itself!
Our vision is a world where everyone can access the best mental health support, regardless of income and where communities support each other through a better understanding of mental health.
At Evidence Based Therapy we’re focused on results and using techniques that we know can work. It’s important to talk about how we feel, but to see the results people often want from therapy we need to do more, we need to determine why we feel that way. Unlike some psychotherapists, for us this can be very much a measurable, step by step process, a journey we take with our clients from start to finish.
We provide access to a range of therapeutic approaches that are usually far too expensive for most people because we feel strongly that everyone should have access to the tools they need to understand themselves. A typical Schema therapy session for example will cost over £80 meaning only a fraction of those that would benefit from this treatment have access to it.
At Evidence Based Therapy we prefer to focus less on labels and more on people and the goals they have for therapy. Labels can be helpful in some cases (particularly early on) but they can be equally restrictive, forcing us to think in terms of what we can and can’t do, restricting the expectations we have for ourselves, so we often check labels at the door. That said it’s helpful to know what conditions people come to us with, these include:
